You can build it!!!

Do you know Ana White? She is totally amazing AND she is my new BFF! (She just doesn't know it!) Ana is a self-taught carpenter who takes pictures like the ones below from Pottery Barn and figures out how to build the furniture! She not only does that, she makes step-by-step plans on everything from the cuts to how the pieces all go together and shares them with anyone and everyone for FREE! Check out her blog!

Here are a few things that are on my list to make! I've always LOVED the PB's storage systems but there is no way I would spend the money to get one! Now I can make my own!!!!!

Painted white...

Or stained...I can't decide :o)

Here are the bunk beds I'm going to make for my girls! I'm even thinking they both need a little book shelf like in the picture!

How cute are these? You can make one for around $60! Not bad!

I'm planning on starting with the big storage system. It looks like A LOT, but you build one piece at a time and before you know it you have this awesome piece of furniture!!! I'm going to put it downstairs in the play room to hold all of the toys and stuff :o) Well...I'm off to the lumber yard....;o)

Happy New Year!

I hope you all had a great time, we sure did. We built a bon fire in the back yard and bundled up the girls so they could play in the snow. Although, we were in bed asleep by 10:00, oh well :O)

I have been super busy (mainly with cleaning, organizing, and baking) but I have been able to do some of the projects I had wanted to do before Christmas!

I love how this turned out!!! It was well worth the six hours, 8 glue sticks and numerous burns on my fingers...LOL!

The past couple years I have hosted a Valentine's Day party for "Fat Happens" (this is the name of our mom's group!!!) I've got a jump-start on some decorations and craft ideas for the party...

Here is a tasty preview of some projects I'm working on...

Stay tuned :o).......
